Bungalow Kitchen, Attic & Bathroom Addition

This project was an exercise in space utilization. The dated kitchen was no longer functioning well for these long-time homeowners who enjoy both cooking and entertaining. They enlisted the services of U+B who maximized the existing footprint by moving some stairs and a couple of walls, thus increasing cabinet space and improving the flow. Upstairs, a master bathroom was added in an underutilized dormer space. Though also short on square footage, this bathroom performs beautifully. Every nook and cranny was employed for storage, featuring finely crafted built-ins by Nest Woodworking. Extensive built-ins in the living area further capitalize available space by integrating bookshelves and drawers into the knee wall cavities.

“The results have exceeded even our highest expectations. Josh and his crew worked closely with our architect, and they were exceptionally responsive to our needs and taste. Professio’s craftsmanship and that of their subcontractors was excellent. When the inevitable problems of remodeling arose, Josh solved them with skill and imagination. We stayed within budget, and we feel as if we have a new house that’s beautiful, but also elegantly functional. Professio is superb!
